Some words are just fun to say, some place names are really fun to say. Like, for instance, Kuala Lumpur. Now what brought this to mind was I had a visitor to my blog from Kuala Lumpur. I also had a visitor from Perth Australia... my friend Jamtart, aka Sue. Ha.. It's great that Jammy visited, but hey, she's not from Kuala Lampur!
How great would it be to say... "hi, I'm from Kuala Lumpur." It sure beats the heck out of "hi, I'm from (discreetly place hand over mouth and slightly muffle hoping no one will understand you,) Windsor, Ontario. Yes, the same Windsor, Ontario that Steven Colbert just had up on his screen on his show's "The Word" segment as one of the "worst places in the world."

Ha! Personally, I think Windsor, Ontario and Perth, Western Australia, both pale into insignificance when compared to the lilting funness (I’m pretty sure that’s a real word, here in Oz) of saying Rio de Janeiro. What a great sounding place… and it’s in Brazil, no less (another great place name to say!)
Oh, and at least it was only a TV show host who had a crack at Windsor… our very own Premier (The Hon. Alan Carpenter… Honorable? Ha!) had the gall to call Perth ‘dull, backwoods and boring’. Thus, I put to you, that it is clear that Steven Colbert has never been to Perth otherwise I imagine Windor, Ontario wouldn’t have rated even a mention! Haha
