Well it's so cold outside I cannot see out the windows for the frost. Yesterday, I went out to my car that hadn't been started in 2 1/2 days and when I turned the key, it made noises I did not know cars could make. It did start and after a bit even ran!
So the poker party was good, I even won a couple of games. Good friends, good food and drink in a warm house on a very cold night. The Cops came by... hehehe... no, we were'nt busted, a friend, working in the neighbourhood, stopped in for a couple of minutes. Nice to know he's keeping an eye on us!
Good thing the Super Bowl was in Detroit last year not this year! Some rain is nothing compared to what they would have gone through in this weather!
Well, I've set up my new 30 gallon aquarium. No water in it yet might do that today. It will take quite a while to get it fully functioning and get the fish from the two aquariums I have going into it. Should be done within a month or so. You can't just plop 8 fish into a new tank. I think once it's been running empty for about a week and the bacteria culture is established I'll take one from each tank every 4 or 5 days and add them. Bob and Susan, (next door neighbours/friends/Michelle's other parents,) gave me a huge rock/plant thing so I think I'll skip putting gravel in and it should stay cleaner longer.
That's my excitement for today. Of course it's only 10am so there could be more later!
