shower for at least 6 (never used it)
spare bedroom (never used it)
my bedroom (used it every night - even with the way too big pillows)
livingroom with fireplace (hospitality room used often)
jacuzzi tub (floated in it every morning)






Lovely hotel, great staff, eager to please. Now... this suite I had, OMG! I made the mistake of filling the tub too full the first morning. I couldn't sit in it, I floated! Six could have showered at once and I never did use the second bedroom!

Lovely comment in my last posting from someone here in Strathmore. Having lived in Calgary in the early 80's I remember the chinooks coming in and the temperature going from -30 to +10 in a day! Sadly, the chinook is coming in on Tuesday and I am gone as of Monday. Thank you for the kind words and the welcome!

I'm liking Strathmore and yes I've been to the Station Restaurant. Great food, good wine and the guys are liking the Grasshopper beer. The people here are lovely, friendly and helpful. The restaurants all have great wine lists! I've only had a Tim's once and that was yesterday. OMG... the line up!

Yesterday we were in Rockyford, outside all day! I had Matthew's snowboarding pants, multi layered clothes and a scarf so I was fine, even in the -19 with the wind chill of about -26. As the day progressed and the wind picked up it did get a tad chilly though! The manual labour we did helped keep us warm too. (Fireworks tests.)

Today is a slower day which is nice after the days of constant meetings and work.

Now to the other comment poster whining that "our house is only 73 Celsius... brrr" Hi Michelle, I know that's you! I miss you. xoxo

Getting ready for Strathmore, Alberta

Dang, I'd forgotten about Alberta at this time of year, sunrise, 8:07, sunset, 4:30.
I don't want to talk about -19.

Ok, all I've packed is an extra warm jacket, snow pants, mittens and a scarf... my bag is 1/2 full! Dang... I need to pack for 6 days, plus two sets of dress clothes just in case we partake of the finer establishments. (Are there any there?) I Googled

Unknown Category 23 ah, upon clicking I find, McD's, Timmy's - hooray, 3 Mr. Subs and a lot starting with the word rodeo and ending in saloon.

Ha... there's a winery, life is good! (Bah... open May - October!) All is not lost, there are plenty of liquor stores.

Upcoming trip... no, not sun and surf!

The blue splotch, inside the blue circle is where I live. Way, way South in Ontario. The green arrow is where I am going on Wednesday, until Monday. Hello? Strathmore Alberta at the end of November? sigh... I'm packing snow pants!

We don't' get snow until January or February here in the banana belt!
